The Conservatives have always put Hampshire first.
-
Continue to keep Council Tax as low as possible, by spending your money wisely.
-
Combat speeding with more investment in speed reduction measures and enforcement.
-
Open 6 new police stations and front counters, and hire more local police to continue to cut crime.
-
Defend our countryside from inappropriate development, protecting our green spaces and expanding access to footpaths and bridleways.
-
Invest in long-term road resurfacing, prioritising roads with additional funding, and deliver a new pothole fund paid for by charging utility companies who dig up local roads.
Working with Donna Jones, future Mayor of Hampshire to open new police stations
In 2021, with the support of local people, Donna stood to be Hampshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner and won.
By working with government and local officials, Donna recruited an extra 815 police officers for Hampshire, reopened 8 police stations and front counters, and brought crime down by 11%.
Donna is running to be Hampshire's first mayor.
When she wins, we will be working with Donna Jones, looking to open another 6 police stations, hire more police and continuing to cut crime across the county.
Keeping tax low
Together, we will be delivering our plan to keep Hampshire special.
That means protecting our landscapes from inappropriate development and investing millions more in roads, town centres and high streets.
And with a pioneering new charging scheme, utility companies will pay when they delay roadworks — generating extra funding for a new roads repair fund.
All while keeping council tax low.
This is what responsible, experienced leadership looks like.
